Has anyone bought from these guys ? :?

http://tinyurl.com/2fy2uc

Does anyone know if this is a descent headset or are they junk....:baffled:

Any other ideas in where to get a descent (not bank breaking) headset for our helmets.

My homemade headsets are working good still, but I have bought a junction box and I'm not wanting to redo the connection onmy homemade headset.(I used USB cable connections for them )

Thanks in advance as usual...:byebye:

It looks a lot like the ones I just installed in our helmets.
Click here to see the ones I got. I really like them, and they weren't too hard to install, even though my wife wears a modular helmet. This model is designed to be used in any style helmet.
Good stuff.

It looks like if the ones on ebay sound as good as those on wingstuff, ebay would be a great deal.

Thanks for the quick responce. I haven't really had any doings with headsets, so Im not real sure how to go about buying a descent set except by going by what others think. :baffled:

The headsets on the ebay linkare sold by Chris Chrome. I bought four sets (two for me, two for my son) of the J&M HS 8146 OF last spring. We are satisfied with ours and sound is better than our old HS 134 headsets. Our old headsets were the HS 134 OF sold in the early ninties and the cost of the lower and upper cords were about the price we paid for the new sets. You can get the one I ordered or the same as the ebay (HS 8154 OF) onefor $59.95. Shipping will probably be faster.

Hey GREAT :clapper:

Thanks... I will be ordering the 8154. :cooler:

It says the 8146 has been discontinued and superseded by the 8154.

Do you have these installed in an open face or full face helmet? Only asking because Im installing mine in open face and was wondering how bad wind noise is with this set. :?

We do have the headsets installed in open face helmets and do get some wind noise. On the 1983 GL 1100A we installed Mac exhaust system, I'm thinking now that we should have paid another $120.00 or so to get the Jardine Exhaust system. From what I have read the Jardine system is quieter. When riding the 1983 we do get noise but not anything we can't live with. On the 1989 GL 1500 we don't get near the noise as the GL 1100a.
On the HS 8154 OF you will get a one piece hookup cord. We like the two piece since the helmet doesn't have all that cord hanging when we get off the bike. Hope we can still get cords for the HS 8146.

Maybe you might look at Sandy Eggo's link. Headset $89.99, plus lower cord, $19.99. It does have the AeroMike® III microphone. :cooldj:I can deal with the noise we get for half price, though.

Cyclemax in Ohio sells the 8154 for less than $60 also.

I also have the 8154's from Wingstuff--pretty good headset for tthe money. But I still am not happy with the wind noise. Why oh why did Honda not put a push to talk(PTT) button for the rider and passenger on the bike in the first place??????:baffled:
