Open face mic's are bigger and connected to a pliable rubberized tube, and would probably make it hard to use with a full face helmet. Full face helmet mic's are only connected by wire. Guess it could be possible to use. For the price it would be worth the gamble for sure.
J&M Elite Headsets, will they work for open and full face helmets?
Looking at two new/older J and M Elite headsets...they say (OF) meaning open face? Will these interchange with full face? They were for GL 1800 but they will work on GL 1500. $100 for both of them with the lower cords. What do you all think?

i just bought mine from wingstuff.com $65 for full face or open face 5 pin with lower cord mic every thing you need,i've had no problems with mine
When I purchased my current GW, it came with open face helmets and open face style headsets. I put the headsets in my full face helmets and they work just fine. The flexible mic actually make it easy to put on the helmet and then just tuck the mic in behind the chin guard. The larger open face mic did not interfere at all, hope this helps.
