We just entered the GOLDWING world in February this year. I just purchased the J&M ICD-584 Elite Series Headsets and am asking about the speaker installation. I'm a little concerned about trimming out the hard foam to increase the size of the recess in our N-103 helmets. Has anyone done this and have pictures of the speakers installed? How difficult, or not, is this task?

Thanks.

I got a good tip here on the forum when I was fitting mine. Get hold of a large nut with a mole wrench and heat the nut with a butane torch. When the nut is good and hot, use it to melt enough of the hard foam away so the speakers fit. Its a way easier method than trying to hack the foam, and neater with less mess and no pieces of foam all over the house.

I just installed the "584" in my wife's Nolan helmet. I used my trusty old pocket knife to enlarge the hole and used the self-stick velcro disk to hold the speaker in the hole. I also cut out the perferated hole in the ear pad, as seen in the second pic.
