attach clear hose to carb drain hole and tape hose next to float chamber. Open drain bolt. Gas level will be the same.

How do you attach the tube to the bolt? A photo would be VERY helpful, please?

Won't work on our 1100's Brian. Alot of carbs have a drain on the side of the bore where the drain screw goes. Not so with our carbs though. The fuel actualy drains through the middle of the screw. You have to find something like a brass screw with the same threads, then drill the center of it and JB Weld a hose barb into the hole and thread that into the place where the stock drain screw normaly goes and attach your clear hose to that.

I hope you can follow that.

On another thread, they suggested just draining into a graduated container. I was just curious, THANKS!

My Vulcan has short pipe in the bottom of carb and opening bolt on the side. I guess before posting this thread I had to look at my Wing carbs first, sorry.

That is a good idea, nice of you to suggest it.

Actually you can do it..just "thread" the right size plastic tube into the carb's drain hole..a plastic tube will actually tap itself as you turn it into the hole and seal up tight..do all four and then fill the carbs. It helps if you shave the end of the the tube a bit to get it started.
