Some time ago I posted a message about the fader control that I purchased from Cyclemax for my 1997 GL 1500 SE.

At the time I thought it would replace the knob under my left rear speaker.

Rudy put me right and explained that the one I had purchased from Cyclemax was designed to fit near the ignition switch.

My question is what is the existing knob for as mine does nothing, is it a OEM Honda part, it must be as the housing is designed to accommodate it. Does anyone know the part number as I cannot find it in my Honda manual.

Any help/advice will be much appreciated.

Can you post a picture? J&M used to sell switches that mounted under both pockets and they controlled audio voume, cb for passenger and other things.

Mine is for the rider control of headset.

:waving:The knob is for the co-rider/passenger to adjust the volume of their headset. There may be a push button beside the knob. It is for the co-rider/passenger push to talk on the CB.
