Larryinseattle inspired me......

Red and I used to have a 21' San Juan sailboat, which we "campaigned" in the inner San Juan Islands for several years... Had some fun on it, but Red didn't take to it too well, and so we sold it. Also, it's hard to run both a sailboat and a touring motorcycle -- when you are on one, you sometimes wish you were on the other! Be similar to the misery of a guy who loves both his mistress and his wife, and can't decide between the two! (Joking, joking....don't get them in a knot!). So I've missed the water and boats in general....

But Larryinseattle has been educating me on inflatable kayaks, and that might be the key....conceivable that you could carry one on the bike, or on your mini-camping trailer, find a spot with a good lake or stream, pump it up with a 12 volt inflator, and do some water work before dinner! Anybody rolled like this? We're kind of halfway thinking of something like this:

My uncle used them for years.. Me and the wife tried it a few times.. I think they'd be fun on a lake fishing for dinner..
The only thing I notice was they don't track well..........
We have this 4 man blow up boat that we have had for about 25 years. About 15 years ago while in Florida, and navigating the Indian river, I made the attachment to the back of the boat for an electric trolling motor and a battery. We still have it, just don't use it much anymore but we do love it. Maybe I should pack that away in the trailer and start taking it with me wen I head out........ Hmmmmm....

Here is Timmy Tooling around the lake we were at a few years ago. He loves that boat......
