I have a LCD im trying to hook up. the wiring is all messede up.

I have all the positives and negs hooked up but Every number letter lights up. kinda how digital dash's on cars do when you first turn them on.

BUT when i wait for it to turn to zero (tach and speedo) it dont. everything just stays lite up. is it suppost to? any help?



Says i have a full tank, tach reads 8888, speedo 888, gears say END i think

Need to give way more information, kind of like drawing a picture.

I don't know anything about the product you are using but often these things have a "test" wire. When this wire is connected to ++ or ground, it causes all of the segments in the LCD to light up, hence the 8888 display. Check carefully to see if you don't have a test lead on the unit. Normally you leave this wire disconnected or perhaps wire it through a pushbutton to test the display. Just a thought.
