I have replaced all the 1157 tail light bulbs on all my bikes (3) with 2357 bulbs because the brake filiment was 25% brighter with only a small increase in Amps, 2.1 to 2.2.
After reading several posts about different LEDs, I bought two at $20 to try.

Here I compare the single 2357 (bright) bulb to the new LED on my Dual Sport. I'm sold!

Next I'll change both bulbs in my 1100.
