I once shot the entire sight rail, front and rear sights included, off of my long barrel 44 automag from recoil. It broke a weld at the muzzle and then pulled away from the blind screws all along the barrel. Looking at the remains of the screws, they looked like pulled taffy on both ends.
I had to send it to California to the last guy remaining who worked at the original factory to get it fixed.
Didn't hurt or anything but it sure was funny to see once I realized what I had just seen happen. Had a good laugh over that.

Fortunately with a Republican in the WH those bills will be vetoed. I see trouble if the socialists (dems) ever get control of congress and the WH.

An early meeting of the Washington NRA, circa 1953.

Not sure who some of these guys are. I'm the one on the right and the guy to my left is holding my pistol . Note that girls have always been welcome and even though she's resting for the pic, she does have her own "gat"
I just remembered an old picture I had converted from slide to the computer. This was me in roughly 1956 shooting the very same Mossberg 22 that I still shoot and love today.

Well it went from 2 degrees to 58 degrees and sunny in two days so I went to the range. Dirt range and sun meant a lot of mud but damn it was good to get out and punch holes! And you know what? One of the guns I took was the very same one I am shooting in that picture above! Love that gun and it is as accurate today as it was back then. I actually had both of those guns with me, the one on the right now has a scope and my wife shoots it.

I am not a big fan of the of that kind of a thing, first off it's too heavy, second too many things can go wrong, too many triggers. This is the kind of a gun that the gun grabbers are always looking at the ones it that's what they are always pointing fingers at. That is almost like that new trigger they came out for the AR that fires both on the pull and on the release, two shots on each trigger pull just not controllable. Personally I am happy with good old-fashioned guns, I have a couple of assault weapon type guns, an AR and an AK but my favorite guns are my bolt action long-range guns.

An old photo

Mom and Dad were fishing, Sis had the Brownie camera. According to the date, I should've been seven. No orange plastic on the end of our toy guns back then. It even had an open bore...

Back on topic, I did go out and put some bullets down range even with the temp dropping and a stiff northwest wind. My (Kennedy rifle) 6.5 carcano I have had since I was 10. Haven't fired it in close to 30 years. Made up some ammo for it just to see if it still doesn't shoot very good. No way anyone, including Lee Harvey Oswald could hit a person in a moving car with it unless he was in the car too.

I voted for Gov. Kevin Stitt (R), and fully feel that he will sign this bill w/o even thinking twice.

Still, if you travel out of state, it would seem to me, that having a CCW permit would be required to be legal in another state....

but, if we can ever ( lost cause? ) gets this passed in all 50 states, it would be a tremendous thing to have happen.
