Man How do you figure that out From Finland to Italy all over Germany France Countries like Lichenstien, Belgium great britain, Isle of Man, Holland every country in front of the Iron Curtain in europe. all on a 850 Norton Commando. On the BSA,650 Norton(racing Only) That piece of crap 750 Suzuki three cyl water cooled job, The 84 1000 Ninja, The 305 Honda scrambler, The honda 90 trail,The 52 K model,the 78 harley FXE shovel head(crapoloa)That one did it for me and harley.
All of those I would say 300 thou. The wing 20,000 and they have been the best 20,000 out of them all and its an 84.

But thats since I was thirteen and bought a 650 BSA with a loose primary gear that if I was not careful would throw the chain if I didn't slip the clutch correctly in the pasture. Got My M/c only license at 15 1/2. Now I am 62 and 1/2 so Man thats hard to say bt thats my best guess at the Swag method.

I've done about 30K on bikes, 500K in cars/trucks and about 1.5m in a big truck.

I guess I need to catch up on my bike miles.:?:?:?

I never bothered to record odometers, had a few bikes, but don't even remember how many miles each of them got.

Started riding when I was 12, took a sabatical for about 30 years raising kids who needed a daddy. Just never got started again, until my son gave me his '84 GL1200

I'm on my 5th bike since then

This is an interesting thread, but I'd also be interested in the answer to follow-up, or call it part B if you like: In those miles, how many minor and how many more serious accidents, if any?

Personally, in probably 20k I had two very minor incidents that were rider error while I was learning to ride. Even the close calls dried up after I took a buddy's advise and got a white helmet. I worry as much about deer as anything, although I've come the closest to colliding with a buzzard...

My wing is hard on my cheeks (no smart a**, the ones on my face); the muscles get sore from all that grinning!

I picked 400k to 500k.

I don't know how many I've done overall, but my 1978 Goldwing and my 1986 Aspencade were each sold with over 200,000 miles. Maybe another 100k on all the other bikes I've owned.
I've been riding since 1965, and rode motorcycles exclusively until 1971 when I bought my first car. Although I've never recorded it separately, I would guess about 200,000 of that total was on sidecar bikes and maybe 20k on trikes.

He rode over 500,000 miles per year . . . . through diesel oil spills . . . in the rain . . . . at night . . . . (as I recall)
