ive had problems before ,when i would wash my bike it wouldn't start, and have been looking for the problem. but i went to the biker rally in galveston yesterday, and on the way home i blew a fuse that shut down my headlights , gauges, and starter.

i replaced it and everything was fine. today, i washed it again ,and it wouldn't start until it dried. when it did, i took it for a spin (everthing was fine) but when i killed it my headlights and half of my side lights would not turn off. i had to disconnect the battery. any ideas anyone ........help please, i hate electrical problems

if it spins but won't start I'd say the drain holes for the plug are clogged up. Pull the plug boots out and down int he bottom of each depression where the plugs are is a drain hole, Use a length of coat hanger to clean these out. If water can't drain out of there it conducts your spark energy directly to the block instead of through the spark plugs.

The thing with lights staying on after the key is off is again water getting somewhere it shouldn't. As suggested check all your electrical connections and plugs for moisture.
