ive had problems before ,when i would wash my bike it wouldn't start, and have been looking for the problem. but i went to the biker rally in galveston yesterday, and on the way home i blew a fuse that shut down my headlights , gauges, and starter.

i replaced it and everything was fine. today, i washed it again ,and it wouldn't start until it dried. when it did, i took it for a spin (everthing was fine) but when i killed it my headlights and half of my side lights would not turn off. i had to disconnect the battery. any ideas anyone ........help please, i hate electrical problems

your going to have to spend a day on your wing pulling connectors apart, looking for trapped moisture & corrosion. the water is acting like a jumper cable & connecting power where it normally is off when your key is turned off. I would also un bolt your main fuse panel & look at the underside for the same issues. have a can of WD-40 with you & spray all the connections that you pull apart because it displaces moisture @ 40 parts per million.
