there is no way to install the headlight. in the inclosed fiberglass shell. the screws for the headlight ring are behind the bulb. and so is the ring securing screws. how can a headlight be installed ? 1980 honda interstate Thanks!!!!

Are you talking about a bike with a fairing on it? If so, is it a Hondaline or a Vetter Fairing. If its a Vetter the chrome ring twists to the left about 1-1 1/2 inches then should pull out.

Ok, now I read that its an interstate..... I dont know about them,,,only the Vetter,,,sorry

To get the headlamp out of an Interstate, look behind the headlamp (inner part of the fairing) and you will see the headlight adjuster knob. A small Phillips screw holds the knob in place, remove it and pull the knob off. Then undo the nut and washer from the threaded stub and push the headlamp out to the front.

Just make sure you have a good grip of the headlight when you remove the nut, otherwise the whole thing will fall onto the floor.
