Im putting the cams back in the bike, My left side came is in and lined up with the notch on the timing belt plate, engine is at TDC, but the right hand side wont line up with the notch unless im fighting the valve pressure to hold it there, do i need to put the timing belt on while its fighting me but still lining up? im lost, ive tried switching the cams, switching the rocker arm assembly, it just wont line up.

You do have to hold the hold the right cam in place to install the belt.

See i thought that might work but i was always told to never force anything when doing mechanical work, like "if its meant to twist then itll twist, if it isnt then youre doing something wrong" but hell im sure you know what youre talking about so ill try it

The only other alternative is to loosen off the adjusters on #3 valves.
