IIRC it's only for refered sales from Craigslist or Kajiji etc as members wouldn't have any feedback anyway.

The reason they get locked is having a CL or Kajiji listing at the top of the list every time someone comments on how pretty it is, or the guy is insane for listing it that high,etc.....

all of that does a disservice to our members own F/S adverts. If you think about it, why should a non-member's stuff be on top of the list?

We let them run because a member might want one of those items. So in that sense, they are okay to post. Just can't have any replies to them.

If I see the link is dead, I delete the thread.


when it drops down about 2/3rds of the page, I delete the thread.

Why keep an external link around for some non-member's junk?

That pulls our members' valid F/S links back onto the first page.
