I stayed at the De Motto campground witch is only several miles out of the park gate. But when I left from the Imperial Point look out,,, it was dark!! There were lots of deer when I went up, so coming back, I was sounding my horn at every curve in the road. In all,,,,,, I think it was in the area of 25 longmiles back to camp.

I can see I'm going to have to get THROUGH Colorado and into Nevada :)

Ok, last pictures of last year. I'll have to see what I gather this year.

About 15 miles of this before we broke out into clear skies

A quick jaunt over the Royal Gorge bridge

Some one in a dually Dodge crossed the yellow line in the canyon and side swiped an big rig. Had cars line up for miles just east of Salida, Co.

Some where along 149 in Colorado

Heading for Pitkin Colorado

Looking to the east from Cottonwood pass

Along US 50 between Salida and Canyon City. Love this stretch.

I've been to the royal gorge twice but never rode across the bridge.
I remember that they wanted some crazy amount of money to cross it and I refused to pay it.

Cheap? Yep, that's me!

Nice Pics!

We bypassed that bridge several times because we were cheap :) We finally decided to go for it. We stopped and parked the bike for pictures. Seemed we missed the part were you werent supposed to park on the bridge :)

Norton, I sure like that black 1100.

Since this thread has turned to scenery shots.

The first is a view of the Grand Canyon. Look closely near the center, the little bit of green is the river in the bottom. The second is a zoomed in pic of the river at the same point. It gives one an idea of just how huge that canyon is.

Yes those are River Rafts on the water and people on the beach. I did not even know they were there until I got back to the camper and was looking at the pics from the day on the laptop.

Hey DougW, I think I see a road (ok, maybe a trail) in that 2nd pic :)
It's the Kaibab Trail. There are two bridges down there, (black and Silver) the one in the pic is the Black one.

I got a hundred or so from the trip, I was holding them back because almost none of them were of the roads. With the evolution of this thread I will see if I can get few more put up on Thursday.
