Putting a mic on it, it seems like a good fit, just a redesign. Just thought I would toss it out for comments...



gl1200 pump...

They did that on the car water pumps too. The old impeller like the one on the left looks more substantial but the newer stamped steel ones seem to last as long as the seal will which is usually well over 100,000 miles.

I did the water pump on my '82 Aspy last year and noticed the same thing. It has been working fine since.

I have another new one ready to put into my '82 Interstate. I believe the 1100 and 1200 use the same part number.

I wish I would have kept the old one and rebuilt it for a spare, but my new one is fine also.

one thing I noticed, on the back, the bearing is bigger overall... bigger diameter, is all I can see of course...
