Oh right, I thought you were meaning the 1800 and I wasn't aware of any wheel recall type issues with them.

Actually I think the cracking frame problem began after the '01s when Honda changed the welding contractor.

I was told it was the very first models, when they were still hand welding the frames. But I guess nobody really knows. As long as they didn't do any homespun repairs.

It was the 2001 models, again, I own one and it was on the recall list. The fix here in the USA to my knowledge based on what I was told by other 2001 owners is that another weld was done. On the few that were redone however, there has been no word on any re failures, so whatever the fix, it works.

I paid $5300 for my '98 SE with 50,000 miles on it. Battery had to be replaced & so far it's been so good to me the last 3000 miles during recent spring to now!

I always figured that the first 100,000 miles were part of the breakin period
me too, I am still doing no more than 50mph on mine in case!!! :ROFL::ROFL:

My girl is about to hit 153,000 by the weeks end. She just stretched her legs and is ready to run another 150,000!

The will easily, a guy near hear has 400k miles on his 1500.
