Well, I'm not in your area, but if you are ever over here, I would be happy to ride with you to get some coffee or DQ. :) Who knows, I might be over in that area some time too.

I am in Seattle and I found instant riding buddies at chapters of the GWRRA.

I highly recommend the GWRRA groups (Goldwing Road Riders Association) to find folks who ride wings in your area. When you attend chapter meetings you will find friendly folks that ride the same motorcycle you do, and they know their motorcycle.

You can find a local chapter by going their website: http://www.gwrra.org

Like Larryinseattle said.....our chapter rode 225 miles yesterday. You will find some chapter members that don't want to ride with 10-15 bikes, and may like a 2-3-4 bike group...whatever you like.
Oh, thumbs up to the fire department/1st responder thing....Me too! And my daughter....and my step daughter...and my ex....one big happy family....except for the ex thing!

My wife rides with me all of the time. I am just off of I35w, so getting to Hayward area is only around 2 hours for us. Could meet 1/2 way sometime and go on a ride. We almost went to Sturgis this year prior to sturgis week, but couldn't take the entire week off. Also, maybe think about going to thee Davis Rally (I think in September). We couldd ride together there??

I second the Motion of joining the GWRRA! We just joined and have been on a ride a couple of weeks ago with the Georgia GA-D Chapter. Met them in Huntersville, NC and rode with them to Mount Airy, NC and into Virgina on a 2 day trip. They were a blast and we made good friends that weekend. We are currently trying out local Chapters to see which one we want to be members of. You also get great benifits and roadside assistance. Sort of a AAA for Motorcycles and yor car.

The Davis Rally is September 9th-11th http://www.davismotorcyclerally.com/

Would be happy to meet up for coffee. As for Tousley, I am guessing you will be a little disapointed. LOTS of bikes, helmets and dirt bike/ATV clothing. Fair parts department but really no fun stuff to look at. Also, their general attitude stinks! You can walk around in there for well over an hour and nobody will even speak to you. I have been there three times and decided the last trip was it for me. Plus, they have a reputation for being high$
