That is really low milage. By my converter. 302km is about 200 miles. For a 17 year old bike it's hardly been out of the show room. Have I got the conversion right?

GL1500 that are well maintained will run, and run great for 150,000 to 200,000 miles. Or by my converter 240,000 to 320,000km

One of the metric guys should be along in a minute to clear this up.

Some have run as much as 300,000 miles. They are strong engines. Mine has 122 thousand plus miles. Still strong.

:waving:Hello and welcome . The GoldWing engine/bike is known for long life . All thats needed is regular maintenance . Ask for records of past service . Be ready/willing to change the timing belts , flush the fluids and replace the tiresand clean the carbs. Thats if its been setting a spell.

clast,
The Goldwing is very well made and will run a long time, if kept on the roads. They do not work well as boats. I don't see a lot of roads at Twillingate, NL!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe you can leave it parked on the big Island and ride to Argentia/Placentia area. I lived there for 2 years, my Dad was stationed there in the US Navy.

302 km is302,000 which is 187,765 miles

But these engibes are good to over 250k ( 250,000) if they are taken care off

Its the rest of the bike I'd be looking at Bearings( swing-arm;head; wheels etc)

brakes rotors etc
