During my morning commute, I was following a small pickup truck with one of those huge caps with no windows, the type that makes them use side mirrors as your only means of visability rearward.. We both take the same exit, and that exit quickly breaks into two lanes. Since this driver was going grandma speeds, I decide to go by him on the right. Right in the middle of my pass he starts coming over toward me... I put up my left hand as I goosed it and went. At the traffic light, at the end of the ramp, he pulls along side and starts to berate me about me "coming on the inside of him when he had his directional on" (which he didn't). I said, "first, you didn't have it on, and second, once I'm in the lane, you can't come over anyway". We go back and forth for about 10 seconds, and then he says "f''in piece of sh!t Honda"...my "caveman IQ" alarm went off and I figured with another neanderthal in the truck, this was a losing battle. So I put my right hand, made a "talking motion" with it and flipped my shield down, waited for green and made my turn.

I'm still pissed about it, but what are you going to do? It's just a reminder of what absolute moronic cagers are driving our streets.

Seems more and more cagers have that attitude. I've noticed lately, especially around town, if they are behind you, they go out of their way to get in front of you. Once they do, they don't go any faster, just hold there.

Maybe because they're more comfortable, not having to worry about running you over? I don't know.

I was behind a guy on a Harley yesterday when some dude in a pickup - TALKING ON A CELL PHONE - Came over into our lane.

THe Harley had to do some very quick manuvering and ended up not getting ran over by about 2 whole feet.

The Harley guy finally got the drivers attention and gave him a WTF gesture. The driver flipped him off.

I know what you mean. Driving through Wisconsin Dells yesterday I had to go through the "INTERSECTION OF DEATH." It has two left turn lanes and I try to stay in the one furthest left. Yesterday I had no choice but to use the other lane and the same MORON that would not let me get into the lane of my choice decides that I had made an illegal left turn because I am not in the furthest left lane. He decided to make the left and then do an immediate right turn into a Mcdonald's. After some very skillful braking (in my opinion) I decided to have a conversation with this guy. He proceded to tell me that I had made an illegal turn and "it was his RIGHT to run over me" for making the turn. My internal moron detector just about failed me because he almost got his butt kicked right there. Luckily his wife came to his rescue and pointed out that there are two left turn lanes and that he should apologize for driving like an idiot.
I want someone to tell me the answer to the ever pressing question---IF IT IS TOURIST SEASON, WHY CAN'T WE SHOOT THEM???

No one under any law has "the right" to run over you. In most states now any vehicle can be considered as a deadly weapon and you have a right to defend yourself.

2 days ago I was in the left lane on a 4 lane road and had a pickup truck just to my rear in the right lane. This idiot decided to lane split with a 4 wheeler between the 2 of us in order to pass me from the left lane and cutting over in front of the truck in the right lane. He almost took us both out and boy I got steamed in a second.

I had a slow driver in front of me and decided to catch this guy so I dropped 2 gears, nailed the throttle and jumped to my left into the asphalt median to pass the slow driver. I caught the guy and his buddy within a 1/4 mile and pulled up along side of him. His window was rolled down and before he even knew I was there I yelled at him and called him a f#$%king a-hole and asked him if he was looking to die.

He backed off way behind me then until we got to a light and wouldn't even look over at me then pulled into a parking lot next to a city cop that was running radar, guess he felt safe then. I proceeded on to the house without a further problem.

Now I don't normally get upset like that but this a-hole almost made me wet my pants with his stunt and my temper flared like it has never done before. Makes me want to get my concealed weapons permit even more now. I will defend myself whatever it takes to stay alive and in this state I have every right to do so. South Carolina is even considering an open carry law for pistols and believe me if they pass it I will wear it on any ride within this state if drivers get any worse.

The funny thing is, I was the one that almost got pushed into the guardrail, and the truck pulled along side to start the BS...I think the fact I was riding a "piece of sh!T Honda" revved him up even more. Sometimes I'm quick with wit. but most times I'm not..I should have said after the POS comment, "you're calling my bike a POS, when you're driving that trainwreck?" But even if I did, his pee-sized brain wouldn't have been able to comprehend it.

Story from last night (I was the cage driver). Going strait at the light, light turnes green, croch rocket turning left in fron of me decides that he is faster than me and cuts in front of me. I beep the horn, he gives me the "your number one finger". And predictable as they are, took off like a bat out of hell. What a stupid MORON! I SIMPLY CAN'T STAND THESE SPOILED, WET BEHIND THE EARS - PUNKS!!!! And, a little statistic for ya: only 10% of the bikes on the road are croch rockets. But, 25% of motercle deaths are drivers on croch rockets!!! Go figure.

Just goes to show you have to ride like they are out to run you down... We as riders have to be EVER present with our self preservation radars at max output. These kind of folks think they own the road, sad part is if they were to injure or God forbid kill someone on a bike (or in another vehicle) they would just get a slap on the wrist.....

Ride safe gals and guys..........

I think it was justice where the wife ponied up and said he was wrong that there were 2 turn lanes.... wonder how the conversation went after that :cheeky1:
