No one under any law has "the right" to run over you. In most states now any vehicle can be considered as a deadly weapon and you have a right to defend yourself.
2 days ago I was in the left lane on a 4 lane road and had a pickup truck just to my rear in the right lane. This idiot decided to lane split with a 4 wheeler between the 2 of us in order to pass me from the left lane and cutting over in front of the truck in the right lane. He almost took us both out and boy I got steamed in a second.
I had a slow driver in front of me and decided to catch this guy so I dropped 2 gears, nailed the throttle and jumped to my left into the asphalt median to pass the slow driver. I caught the guy and his buddy within a 1/4 mile and pulled up along side of him. His window was rolled down and before he even knew I was there I yelled at him and called him a f#$%king a-hole and asked him if he was looking to die.
He backed off way behind me then until we got to a light and wouldn't even look over at me then pulled into a parking lot next to a city cop that was running radar, guess he felt safe then. I proceeded on to the house without a further problem.
Now I don't normally get upset like that but this a-hole almost made me wet my pants with his stunt and my temper flared like it has never done before. Makes me want to get my concealed weapons permit even more now. I will defend myself whatever it takes to stay alive and in this state I have every right to do so. South Carolina is even considering an open carry law for pistols and believe me if they pass it I will wear it on any ride within this state if drivers get any worse.
