The curious thing about loud pipes is that you only really hear them at their best when it's ticking over or riding slowly in traffic. Once you are on the move much of the racket is blown away in your slipstream and annoying the heck out of all in your wake behind you. People in front of you don't always equate the sound to your particular machine unless they are beside you or behind you. Anyway most people aren't on the ball at all really. They are either playing with their cell phone and checking their email, twiddling with the stereo knobs, messin' with their hair or eating some golden arches. You just have to read their minds, that's all. Here in BC they have introduced a new law and a fine for loud and noisy exhausts.
