Just noticed low beam not working...high beam works. Is this a bulb or a whole headlight assembly replacement? If it is a bulb what is the best way to get to it. GL 1200 Aspencade.

Thanks

Just the bulb. Sylvania Silver Star Ultras will suprise you with the nice white light.

You have to remove one screw from each mirror to get the front trim piece off, then the two screws for the fake chin scoop under the lamp unit. There should be four 10mm bolts holding the fixture in place. Tilt it forward and out being careful not to kink the cable for the headlight adjustment, and there you are. Unplug, replace and re-assemble...

We don't mind helping at all. BUT, if you're riding and wrenching, you ought to get a workshop manual to keep you on the right path... :gunhead:

It's probily you bulb. It can be removed from the rear of the head light assem.

You will have to remove the wind screen to get to the bolts holding the head light in.

I beleave the lower grill right under the head light is hiding a couple of head light mount bolts also. Headlight will come straight out, at least to get to the plug for the bulb.

no just a bulb replacement would be my first pick, they are an H4 55/60watt.

the front trim needs to be removed to access the bulb, workshop manual would be handy it will take you through the steps to replace the bulb
