Been gone for 3 weeks and THAT'S all you have to say for yourself??

You must be one whipped puppy!!

Glad you made it back, from watching the tracks left by you and Dusty and reading his sparse reports I am thinking it would take you a couple of solid day's work to get the travelouge put together.

You are one lucky man to have had Dusty for the tour of a lifetime guide.

You made good time, Grasshopper!! :waving:

Still holed up at the same spot where we last saw each other. The storm that rolled through here later that night, made the one in the morning seem pale by comparisson. A Park Ranger came by and told everyone to expect a severe thunder storm, packing 70mph winds and heavy rains, as it was headed right for us. Told us to use the bath house as a 'safety shelter'. Got wild and wooly for a while(1 1/2hrs) but after midnight, the high winds abated and the thunder/lightning and heavy rains continued on to 8:30am.

Things are muddy around camp, as you could imagine. Tent and tarp faired very well, although I added a few more tensioner lines to both, in preperation of another storm tonight(if one comes)

I'll be pulling out tomorrow and should be back in Beaverton in 2 days, to wash/clean up all the gear, in preperation for Ottawa and beyond.

Say hello to Bambi for me and remember to tell the guys at work that the trip and sights were "OKAY" :ssshh:

You got no hot springs round those parts to relax in? :? ;)

As always, a real pleasure riding with you again and can't wait for our next 'adventure'! :waving:

Now ..... get all them chores done! :D

Sorry I was so short gang. Was invited to a friends for a little porch party, and just got back from that. Lots of good eats

And Doug,,,, you hit it right on!! It's going to take me more then a couple days to put this trip together. I saw sooooooo much.

Rudy ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Don't I know it!!!!!! I was given a lifetime gift that will stay with me forever .

I have many things to tend to here at home before I can get too involved with a report. And then trying to catch up with everything else that has been going on here. Whew!!! I haven't even seen the first post of the N-5 thread, and there's already 5 pages ,,,,,, so little time:(

Thanks for all the welcome back wishes :waving:

I want to thank you again Bob:bowing:

Yes, I did make it home but not before getting SMOKED by a small faction of the Canadian contingent :?

Before I go I thought I would post a photo here. I told the person I would put this up. He was afraid if I showed his front side his rough movie star good looks would be to much for the camera..................so here he is !

I will be posting my other photos around, but most will be in my gallery by the end of this week.

Got home today (Sunday) at 2:30 PM. Temps dipped a bit so we weren't too hot for the 350 mile final leg from St. Louis.

Good to see you made it home Dave! It was a pleasure meeting you at Port Orchard and again on the way home at the camp ground on Rt 12 before Missoula. Funny how you and Dusty rolled in to the same place like you did. Made my day! Thought we might meet up again the next night at Wood River but the campground was full when we got there so we went on to the next one and got the last site. Not sure where you guys ended up.

I am still sorting through things and have to be back at work in the morning so it will probably take me a few days to get some pics up.

Awesome trip in all respects!!

Arrival at Manchester State Park camp site on Monday, July 11 (taken by my daughter LeAnne)!!

I knew you'd make it. Glad you skipped AZ this time? Looked like you spent most of your time at N4 going back and forth to SeaTac airport.
Not too shabby for a guy who hadn't been on a bike two years ago.

Finally escaped the wet of IA and spent the night at a beautiful little campground in the UP,on the shores of Lake Michigan, near Rapid River, MI. and got my gear dried out and the mud off of stuff for the most part. It rained again the morning I left, but when I was up at 4am,I saw the lightning and got the tent and stuff packed up before the rains came again and waited it out under my tarp. Iam currently atthe Mickey D's in Newbury, MI. Big contrast in the weather this morning, as I had to put on my heated jacket liner under my mesh jacket. (46*) Glad to see the end of those high temps. :readit:

Should be home by 6pm this evening and will just have time to wash the mud off of my gear, do a load of laundry, attend to a few matters and am then off for Ottawa.

Bryan, we wondered what happened to you after 5 minutes on I90. We figured you were just 'hanging back'. :?

John, - we saw that you and Nancy had pulled off in Darby(or was it Hamilton,MT) for breakfast and we ended up at Craters of the Moon NP for the night.
