Markland floorboard install .

My brake pedal is hitting the floorboard when I try to stop .

I installed the spacer on the right rear of the floorboard but the pedal bottoms out on the board . The brake will slow me down but not stop the bike so its close to where it needs to be .

Am I missing something ? Is there a adjustment I can make to the pedal or do I need to replace the pedal with a different style ?

I have seen people bend their brake pedal or take it off the spindle and set it higher..but both of these may make stepping on it a little award. Never seen a pedal with a "loop" in it to fit over a board tube..must be one someplace.

There is an adjustment for pedal height, I had the same issue when I installed mine, and had to adjust it. It's located near the rear master cylinder.

Two things on Markland floorboard and the 1100. First I had to pull the brake pedal off the splines and move it up one spline. The other isinstalling the heel peg improves the operation.

There are no splines on the brake pedal on an 81 1100. Maybe on the 83 with linked brakes but not on the older ones.
