I was ridingaround 7:45 this evening, which is still before sunset.

As I traveled south, to my left I could see the shadow of myself and my son, on Bargoyle.Since the sun was coming at us nearly horizontally, the shadow was near life size and upright when something on the side was close to us.

It was pretty nice, seeing that shadow. Its about as close as I can get to seeing, from a 'third person' point of view, my son and I riding together. I could see it in a picture or video, but not live like that.

It was a special moment for me. My words dont do it justice. My memory does.

Have a good weekend all...

Isnt that a great feeling:clapper:

We are taking our son out with us today (he's 9) for his first highway ride... Just a short (50 mile) ride to the local camping spot. Just to see how he likes/handles highway riding... He loves to ride on the back of my wing:goofygrin:

HERE is a pic of him by his "new ride"

That's a nice looking ride Digbyodell, but your boy is going to have a heck of a time keeping up with you on the Highway, he will have to pedal like a mad man.

Thanks Goldwinger:waving:

I was thinking of at least tieing a rope from the back of my bike to the front of his to help him out :cool:

Build yourself one. Go to Harbor Frieght, buy the little 4'x4' trailer frame for about $139, go to Sears, get their real nice car top carrier for $120, cut the frame and narrow to fit the carrier, get 2 small fenders at Tractor Supply for $40, bolt the carrier to the frame, paint to match bike, a vola, a motorcycle trailer ready to roll for under $500. I seen a guy that has one, looks real sharp, he cut the carrier to install flush mounted lights, and painted it to match his bike, said the thing didn't weigh 150 lbs.:D

When I bought Eeyore in May, one of the features that attracted me was that it came with a matching trailer. The PO had bought it with the intentions of finding a "girl" to ride with him. It never left his garage. However, he did mount some indoor/outdoor carpeting on the face of the trailer to protect it from rocks & road hash and threw some Styrofoam and a plywood false bottom in it to protect it from the cargo. I can't even feel it when I tow with it. It also has a luggage rack on top and a bike carrier kit to add to the luggage rack in case I want to take a bicycle with me. (HEHEHE, me on a bicycle...)

I'm going to go through and replace the light bulbs with LEDs to ease the battery drain but it's big enough (resembles the Sears car top carrier) to carrier gear and tackle for Rodent and myself for more than a day or two.
