Mileage under avatars?????

891 Views 14 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  96aspencade
I just noticed that under our avatar that the mileage we have on our bikes are gone. Kinda disappointed because I always update it on the 1st of the year to kinda track the miles I do in a year. I also like to see what others have on their Wings as well.

I see what you mean. Well, we could add it to our signature line if we wanted.

I was updating mine every 1,000 miles to show that I am riding it. With the switch, I added it to my signature with my past rides.

That's what I did too. True, it's not as clean and nice as the old system, but it gets the job done.

Ok, I am in. I got my GL1800 in July and it had 2 miles on it and now it has 5400. I will try to keep it up to date as the miles add up.
Lost my beginning of the year mileage but I'm in with current mileage as of today. I had 47600 mile on it when I bought it.
I've already activated the Goldwing model and mileage fields but for some reason it isn't showing in our profiles. So it's a bump up to the tech guys to help us with this.
Cool. I should have know better. :)
yeah some of the old things we had are tricky to carry across.. but the model/mileage should be doable once the extra fields are added in the tables.

the Ultrabb software was really nice and user friendly for tweaking and adding stuff-especially for forum owners new to that kind of thing,, but it starts to fall apart once a forum gets big and busy.. a lot of other Ultrabb forums had to convert to VB or phpBB once they got big and buggy and slow.. the biggest issue for us which caused the extra slowness during summer, was ultra doesnt work on the latest php5.0 (and apparently never will because they stopped developing ultrabb and its coasting in maintenance mode these days),, which meant the verticalscope guys had to put us onto an old php4 server so the old forum would still work (but slow) while the conversion was being done. i think they had their work cut out for them and keeping that in mind they got a lot done to keep us happy. somebody would have been getting the digs if my custom emoticons hada been dumped.. :smiler:
they kept their word on all they said they would do,, and are still doing.. i think they were keen to keep my old Dad and wexy on board because they have been doing it forever and whatever they do seems to work for some reason. :baffled:

Ok, can you give that to us in un-techy terms?
He said the old software couldn't cut the mustard!
