Left last Saturday 28 Aug at 4:30pm for a trip to Abbot, Maine and rode the Blue ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive and many 2 lane scenic roads on the way up and Slabbed 1300 miles back in 36 hours.
IT WAS A MIRACLE RIDE
1. Never had to put on rain gear
2. No breakdowns or flat tires
3. No tickets or even pulled over
4. No Accidents involved or even seen, no close calls even.
5. No oil or coolant loss

Things I learned. My Nolan N102 helmet became very loud about halfway there, and earplugs became lifesavers.
The cruise control does NOT work well at over 95+.
Fuel mileage gets worse the faster you go. High of 58 mpg on the blue ridge, down to 42 at high speed cruise- over 75+. The wing is a pretty good cycle for long trips.

I just thought your avatar might be an action shot from your trip. Sounds like a good time though...

Those MPG numbers are only in my dreams. wish my bike had been so conservative.

Sounds like you had a very good trip, and happy to hear that it went so well for you.

Your cruise must have the mod to allow it to work above 82 mph, that is the factory cutoff point.
