My left hand mirror drops towords the rear when I get up to about 50 Km per hour. I pulled back the rubber housing around the knuckle and it looks like a cast ball in a plastic socket. The socket appears to be split. Has anyone had any luck repairing these or should I just order replacement(s)?

If plastic is involved ..... replace it. In the past anytime I have tried to glue/fix plastic, it just breaks again. :(

I had the same problem with my right mirror. Being cheap I just put a little crazy glue into the ball joint. Make sure you adjust the mirror where you want it before things set up. The thing hasn't moved a bit in the past six months.

Just glue it and make the most of it until it breaks again. It will give you time to source another mirror before the glue gives up.

The glue will last for a while, usually what happens is someone bumps into the mirror and the glue breaks off again.
