Mirrors on a GL1500 done

It took me about 4 hours to figure how to take apart GL1500 mirrors apart to be able to install Arrows for turn signals on the back side of the glass. Its not as bad as I thought. Here is the picture of them on. Next set I will try something different with turn signals and on the left will be the volt gauge and on the right will be the outside air temp on the inside edges. Any and all feed back is welcome. These are going on Larry's Trike I'm fixing up. By the way total cost is about $10.00 to this job.

Those look amazing, I must know more!
Yes do tell how you pulled them apart and did it.
Yes please give us more information. Were did you get the lights, or are they made from led strips? Were do they get power from, do you have to splice into your turn signal wiring?
My next set I will take pictures from beginning to end and step by step on how I did them for ya all or maybe I'll start doing them for eveybody.
E-Bay here is the set of lights I used

I likey the sequential ones! Do you have a link to those?
Yeh me too! How hard is it to install the
sequential ones and where do you get them !
Thanks Gene
How did you get the glass out of the mirror housing, can you explain that please? Anyone I know who tried always ended up with broken glass.
How did you remove the glass? That might be helpful to know for GL1800 owners also.
Well I destroyed one mirror to figure out how I could take it apart my self and then the rest was history. I felt good on how they came out that I decided to to do the arm rests so now the bike will be seen from all angles when the turn signal flashers come on. Here is the pic how the arm rest came out.

If you convert the whole bike to LED then you get these LED Flasher relays and plugs right into the factory wiring and hang it on the bracket where the orignal ones were and now you will have the correct flash rate without having to install any Load Resistors and the self cancellation still will work.
