LOL.....I think in that center round plastic piece it may snap in like some cars do, but I have a 1200 so I have no clue if it would be the same. You have to pry the mirror out with four Sharpies. Got it...
Sorry my computer is messed up, I don't see the picture of the razor cutting around the mirror. :sadguy: BTW nice job.You just got to love it when people can see and not see. Get a very sharp razor blade knife and cut around the mirror 3/4 and lift up and pop out the mirror
Am I correct to assume the cut is made around the edge of the plastic and not face down from the glass/front?Get a very sharp razor blade knife and cut around the mirror 3/4 and lift up and pop out the mirror
It took me about 4 hours to figure how to take apart GL1500 mirrors apart to be able to install Arrows for turn signals on the back side of the glass. Its not as bad as I thought. Here is the picture of them on. Next set I will try something different with turn signals and on the left will be the volt gauge and on the right will be the outside air temp on the inside edges. Any and all feed back is welcome. These are going on Larry's Trike I'm fixing up. By the way total cost is about $10.00 to this job.
How is the quality and fitment of the cover? I have been thinking of getting one, but hate to spend $55 for an unknown quality item.$55.00 for the cover new and another $15.00 for the gauges and this is what the out come is.
