Hi guys, going to look at a 77 GL tomorrow for a project bike. Owner bought it for a project but never did anything. It has no keys. How difficult is it to find or make a key, or do I have to get a whole ignition?

See if it has a helmet lock on it. Take it off and get the numbers off the back and have a key cut. www.hondakeys.com



I had problems with mix matched locks on saddle bags and trunk, I took one off and took it to a local lock smith. He matched all the locks to my ignition key....cost 10 bucks a pop to do it, but well worth it all to match.

I had to replace the ignition switch on my '77 (when I had it) and it wasn't a bad job from what I remember. Got the switch from JC Whitney.
