Never done a poll before , so thought I'd try it. Which runs along the lines of these two products, I haven't used before, so thought I'd try it. Which brings us to the point at hand for a poll as to which YOU think is the better?

I've never added any additives to anything I've ever owned. However I have considered trying some different products on my "wing" but have been leery because I have no idea what the effects might be to the wet clutch.

Am I reading correctly that some of you are adding marvel mystery oil to the gas tank and to the engine oil as well? what sort of ratio would you consider appropriate for fuel or engine oil? :?

I have never heard of sea foam so we must not have that product here in the south.

I'm willing to try anything once......I dont have any rabbits, but I got some stray cats! anybody know a good MMO glazed cat recipe? :p

Found some Sea foam, whoever said that there would only be one can and it would be hidden away was exactly right. BTW, thanks for the description of the can too, I never would have found it at all.

I added some to my engine oil and to my fuel tank, I followed the instructions on the bottle so as not to over do it I have ridden only 15 miles or so since adding it so I havent seen any change in my "wing" just yet but who knows, maybe its the magic cure all in a bottle.

I will keep you advised, I'm sure you are all just dying to know what miracle Sea Foam can produce :p

Day 2 with the sea foam. Iran about 80 miles today, nothin's changed yet. cant say that anything is any different. Still waiting for the "miracle" to appear. will keep you all posted.

A whole can eh? I dunno about that. Mfg. instructions are like 1 oz per gallon.

What could I expect to gain by using such a high dosage? Wing runs pretty good already. Maybe the question is what can I expect to lose by using a whole can?

Havent tried "liquidplumber" yet, still waiting for the draino max to go thru:goofygrin:

Put about 400 miles on my wing with the sea foam in the oil then changed oil and filter. Oil was dirtier than I expected but not filthy, kinda a brownish gold and much thinner than what I would have liked to see. I was running Castrol 20-50.

After the fresh oil and filter change, I hit the back roads of South Carolina (no helmet laws) :D. Irode about 140 miles this afternoon and I'd have to say that the wing is running better than ever. Realistically though, it would be hard to say if it is due to sea foam or the Lucus fuel treatment I added today or the fact that I put in even heavier oil than what I was running before.

Not convinced that Sea foam is a miracle in a can, I tend to think that my "wing" is getting better from just being used regularly instead of being mostly parked like it was by its former owner.

Straight weight oils.. Castrol makes straight 30, 40, 50. :waving:

I suppose thats a possibility. The Honda boys advise against it as well, however the same Honda shop guys are selling a beautiful 1200 for next to nothing because they dont want to replace the stator. Too much trouble they say. :gunhead:

The same Honda boys cant synchronize my carbs either...... 1100I too old they say.

So, I'm going with my own experience with engines, lord knows I've had enough of them apart in my time, and I cant imagine that the 1100 is so much different than anything else. I wouldnt advise running heavy oil in winter time but it was 90 degrees here today. It wont cool off here for at least another month.

Been giving very serious thought to picking up that 1200. Its an anniversary edition and it is totally decked out. Looks to be in excellent shape. A Guy passing thrufrom Texas traded it in on a new one when the Honda boys told him how much the stator repair would cost.

I wonder if Sea foam would fix it?:coollep:
