Hi,

I want to clean the throttle valves on my 85 Ltdwithout taking all the parts off to access the intake area. Has anyone drilled and installed screws to allow direct spraying on to plate area as per the 86 SEI?

Thoughts?

It can be done without causing issues, but if yours are gummed up too much then you will probably end up opening her up anyways. I guess the thing is not to expect miracles.

Bike had sat for over 3 years and was running rough at low RPM's and I was lucky to get 8mpg. I did spray in through the air cleaner access with two good soakings and its amazing the differance now. Runs smooth and getting over 30mpg and getting better. I still would like to modify so I can spray more often with-out all that fuss. I think I will try it next year but just wanted to see if any one had done this before?
