More Opportunity to Ride!

With the current economic recession we are experiencing, the company I work for has been forced to make some drastic changes. We have laid off approximately 55 people and another 18 have accepted early retirement packages. The latest thing we have done is to eliminate company vehicles and gas credit cards for managers from the very top down. We have the opportunity to buy our vehicles at cost and they will finance them interest free for us for up to 3 years. An attractive package. I have several vehicles at home, not to mention, a nice bike that gets 45 MPG; so I will be riding 2 wheels to work on all but the most inclement days. Not a bad thing considering.

I have been blessed , not only to have a job, but am healthy, and family and friends are blessed as well! And, as I said, I will get more miles on my bike as a result!

Thumbs up Bernie. I commute to work and back most every day. The only problem I have is that it is not far enough and sometimes I have to take the long way to work in the morning.

Bob, I see your point. I may have to leave earlier each morning in order to get in even more (smiles) per day! I will definately be enjoying my commute more!
