If my memory serves me correctly, it's a GL1200 and it has reverse built onto the rear swingarm. I remember coming across an article on this machine quite some time ago and it really caught my fancy. What a blast it would be to take it out and do donuts with and smoke the back tire. LOL You could even have A/C, heat and wipersif you wanted.

Wow! Give us a little info on what you have there and how long you tinkered with it!

Looks like it came out of a "Mad Max" movie !

Did you give it a "Name"?

By the way that's some great looking country!

Actually I started with a chalk sketch on my Garage floor over 8 years ago, I worked about 18 months on it.....then we moved to the Beaches of NC..for about 6 years..now we have moved back to the Blue Ridge Mtns of NC where I have built a new shop.......Now I have only one "Project" to finish....it will take about another month..(MY wifes Bradley GT )...Then it is "Full time" on my "Scorpion" Three wheeler...

It is based on a 1980 Honda Goldwing 1100cc....(But I have a 1200cc that I will be adding an Automotive Alternator. Air Conditioning, A single Carbeurator or Fuel Injection, On board Computer with Cruise , Electric Shift etc....

The body is of steel, Marine Plywood, Fiberglass............The plans were loosely based on plans of a vehicle called Vortex..by Stephen Pombo....But I have added a lot of changes of my own design.........

In fact this is NOT a KIT....it is all Handmade by myself......

I appreciate all the nice comments....and I will be glad to answer any questions....

For more photos of the construction sequence...you can go to.

Well done Shep. Is that just surface rust or are you facing major surgery on the body? Looks like lots of work has gone into the design anyway.
imported post

Actually what you are seeing is the Urethane Foam thru the Clear Fiberglass.........

There can be no rust as the complete body is Fiberglass............

Once the "BONDO Body Filler is applied and smoothed it will be top coated with several coats of Epoxy filler, Sanded smooth then covered with a two part Silver paint and then several clear coats , sanded and buffed, then waxed......

A lot of work I know.....however this is the only way to get a smooth body once you build it this way....

BTW the interior will have Seats covered with Grey Tweed.......the Headrest has a Purple Scorpion.... Computer Embroidered..on each......
