I decided to sell my 84 GL1200 Interstate today. In its place I picked up a 95 GL1500 SE. While I was signing the papers a couple of other people came in to the store and inquired about the bike. Luckily I got there first.

Congrats! Notice much difference between the '84 and the '95 yet?

The first thing I noticed was it seemed, at first, a little more top heavy. I've since gotten used to the handling and it is smooth. Today was quite windy so I was pushed a little more than normal but I still have a smile on my face. :)

The engine on the 1500 is definitely smoother than my 1200. And of course I like the reverse capability.

I'm new to the 'Wing world, but IMHO the 1500 is a fantastic machine. I am still satisfied with my decision to buy a low mileage 1500 rather than step up to the latest generation.

Enjoy your "new" ride!

i did that in September last year, upgraded to a 95 1500se, still trying to sell the 84 1200I, what a difference in ride and power, it feels foreign riding the 1200
