has anyone ever done an 1800 naked or bagger look.. currently have a 1200 and a triumph rocket 3.. with my exhaust system the r3 is pushing 160 hp and 160 lbs torque.. prob is i find myself riding the wing more.. have been searching for a valkyrie interstate then thought hey.. 1800 turned into a valk.. fabbing about anything is not a problem.. just wondered if anyone had gone down this road and how it turned out.

thanks

sam

this is a supercharged r3 with my exhaust down in australia pushing about 290 hp

Yea cause any home attempt would be better looking than how Mother Honda Runed there version . I sure hope that front suspension rides better than it looks .

That Rune is one UGLY bike!

The Rune was based on the Valk not the 1800. Very idiosyncratic styling, kinda appeals to me like the Victory Vision does. (NOT)

travelguy, I wonder if the reason you like to ride the Wing better is because not in spite of the fairing?

It may be based on the Valk but its got an 1800 engine

Was the Rune inspired by Judge Dredd or the other way around

ex i'm sure that's a big part of it.. the other is the back rest.. though fun the rocket is actually violent to ride.. with my exhaust it smokes the rear tire in 1st and second.. that's a 240 by the way, just cracking the throttle in 1st and second and you're doing a wheelie.. i've even gotten the front wheel up hitting 3rd.. biggest thing is how much more "nimble" the wing is.. is just carves turns like butter.. and well i have a tendency to do something then get bored with it. these pipes are all over the world now and my re designed radiator will be next..

just kinda looking for a new project no one else has done and the comments i have seen the 1800 gets up and scoots.... course a performance exhaust for it would be a given. powder coat the frame black.. valk fairing.. all excess buttons and panels relocate not often used switches/panels to the trunk , make a different radiator set up..put on a valk interstate or hardley big 'ol gas tank....and dare i say TURBO...this could be fun :action:

course if honda would do the evo6 i'd just get that :dude:

There's something about the "Rune" that reminds me of "Dune" the movie...
"The Spice.... it's in the Spice..."

Well, whatever flavor that spice was, it transpired into that bike and tastes just as bad.
