#1 for me is Dam-Quarry Campground with electric for $18-$20 depending on which campsite you choose. This is by far, the largest RV campground in the area. It is NOT the most hidden with "almost private sites", typical open flat ground gov'mint style. see maps.

DAM - QUARRY Government Owned 6 minutes to campground

Part of Norfork Lake

Longitude:

92° 14' 26.0002" W

Driving Directions:
Address: 170 Picnic Dr, Mountain Home, AR 72653
Phone: (870) 499-7216
Q: Electric. Hook up for tent area?
A: $18 to $20 depending on the site

From Mountain Home, AR, take State Route 5 south 14 miles to Salesville, then turn left on State Route 177 for 2 miles. Park is located below Norfolk Dam. Follow signs into the campground.

* "Playgrounds, clean bathroom/shower and great place to ride bikes/scooters."

* "The staff are friendly and the facilities are nice."

* "It is beautiful place to go the people are ok pleasant"

I've been coming here for many years! Great RV hookups and camping. They have private bathrooms with showers. Great trout fishing.

Loved the camp ground and being able to tent camp right next to the white river. It was also nice having running toilets and hot showers camping. The hosts were so friendly and helpful! They even brought wood down to our site and unloaded it. I would come back and stay here again in the future.

Point of View RV Park

5.01 Google review
RV park in Salesville, Arkansas
Address: 99 Broadview Cir, Salesville, AR 72653
Phone: (512) 814-9411

this is the closest one to the Cabins where most of us will be
5 minutes

The overhead google map view is not very appetizing.

I maynbe staying at the campground as well this year. I ordered a toyhauler end of Nov last year and it's supposed to be delivered to the dealer sometime in the next week or 2. Might as well get some use out of it.

I think the firearms rule is for open carry and use while in the campground, if it is in the RV and left out of sight I think the “don’t ask don’t tell“ policy will apply. The thing I see as the biggest issue is the lack of sewer connection. We will neeed to be cautious of our water use so the tanks don’t get full during the 5 days we will be there.

that can be partially offset by the on site private bathrooms with showers.

if you want to drop a hook,
Great trout fishing.

Ok, so is the consensus the Dam Quarry campground? If so, any tips on selecting a campsite there? looks like I will be camping and want to get my ducks in a row...I will most likely be camping from Mon to Fri but wont pull into the campground until Mon evening. I have to see a guy Mon morning in Mountain Home about getting my valves on the trike checked.

Ok, Im booked on site 47 from Mon to Fri. Not sure how long my visit in Mountain Home will take but I can park the trailer anytime after 3 and then swing by the resort for a visit!

IF,
I took the RV, I would be on the 30A loop, but I am staying in the Cabins with the OkieArkie bunch.

Need to get him used to being on the back of the bike. He was on couple rides towards end of last season, but at most an hour away. He wasn't real happy at end but always wants to go back out when we go. He was only 6 to 7 months old at that time, but he is over a year now, Need to get out on bike with him again
