This will be the main focal point for all information. The location will the Norfork River Resort in Norfork, Arkansas. The dates will be June 16-18, 2020.

The hosts will be DaveO430, Dodge & myself.

This area has some very good roads to ride from slow sweepers to check your taillights combined with some breathtaking scenery!

There are also several touristy things to see such as Blanchard Springs Caverns, The Ozark Folk Center, Mountain View, Arkansas which is very strong in the bluegrass area.

I have not seen anything about campground info. We have a lot who like to camp so some info about that would be helpful.

If there is no camping $120 a night strikes me as pretty steep for some folks.

That week falls right at graduation time here, hopefully we can get it figured so it won’t interfere.

We will try to find some camping info Doug, I am sure there is some available in the area. we have time to sort it out.

Google Maps show two that are less than 3 miles as the crow flies.

This is Matney Campground a 6 minute ride

This is Hide-A-Way which is 12 minutes away.

Don't forget, that the cabins can accommodate lots of people, so grouping together with friends will deflate the cost per family.
From their site, the majority of the cabins do not have private sleeping accommodations, so grouping together may not be an option for some of us.

It would be better if we could find places with camping on site, I know they are few and far between but it would be neat to find.

If you look at the numbers pretty near 20% of us that regularly attend would prefer to camp.

Dam Quarry Campground about three miles or so from resort at the bottom of Dam. You can get info from their web site. It is state run. Cabins have separate bedrooms, a kitchen etc. much like being at home. I have stayed there several times. There are hotel type rooms as well. I had more info on camping but can't find it at this moment.

Had a nice conversation with the owner today. After asking he agreed to a 10% discount for lodging, mention NASR13 when you call. Those with reservations already will have the discount applied. Also found out a bit more - there are 4 firepits on the property along with a covered pavilion that will be available for our use. As more information becomes available I will post it here.

Gotta love a 10% discount. Thank you! Firepits, pavilion. Sounding better all the time. This is gonna be a great NASR. Guess I best get busy making something for the auction.

Not True:
All cabins are identical, Andy, Dave, Chuck & I reviewed them over Labor Day weekend while we were attending Midwest Meet 'n Greet in Harrison, AR.

there are 2 private bedrooms downstairs, each with a private in-suite bathroom. 2 Queen beds in each.

there are 3 bedrooms upstairs with a single shared bathroom.

a total of 10 people can stay in a cabin if you are willing to share facilities, or pay for the private suites. ( no decision on that cost as of yet )

All cabins are "upstairs over a carport, which is huge, easily park 10 bikes under there.

I am creating a separate thread for the Campground facilities, there are bunch of them, over 30 around the area.... but for us, mileage wise, probably only 3 or maybe 4 that are practicable.

As of right now, I am favoring the Government campsites at Dam-Quarry Campground which have electric for $18 to $20 depending on your needs/site.

John, please do not say "Not True" to my statement of there not being private sleeping accommodations, when you state that there are 2 private bedrooms downstairs with 2 Queen beds in each. To me, 2 Queen beds will sleep 4 people, 2 in each bed. We all read things differently so to others, 2 Queen beds may mean they don't have to sleep with their significant other. So it could be True, depends on how the person reads it. Glad y'all were able to visit the location and check it out.

There are 2 bedrooms upstairs with 1 full bed and 2 twin beds each.

There are also 20 motel rooms available (4 of which are already reserved by members of our group) along with 2 handicap designed cabins.

I called the resort this morning. As of the time of the call there are 9 upstairs motel rooms available starting on Sunday and 1 downstairs room that is available starting Monday. We will use the Dam/Quarry campground as the "official" RV/Campground location. It is state run and has some very good reviews. According to Toni at the resort it does not pay to dawdle making reservations there as it fills quickly. I will call this afternoon to see if they'll group together a few sites. Will try for 5 which should account for Ken Hemingway; Henry Phillips; Doug Williams and Kyle Corley.
