My wife and I are planning on buying a CHEAP RV and doing some touring. Also want to bring the wing. Don't know much about RV's, however. We do have a Ford Expedition with towing limits of 9000#, so it has to be a trailer, not a 5th wheel or motorhome. We're thinking in the 26+' range. We could buy a "toy hauler", but they seem to just be trailers with a spring-loaded rear door/ramp and cost a bunch more.
Some of the FEMA trailers of 5 years ago look like real bargains. But can't figure how to bring the wing. The one side door on the trailer is too narrow to put the wing in, and the wing is, I believe, slightly more than the 8' width of the trailer, so it can't go sideways.
Does anyone have any creative ideas on how to bring a wing with an RV trailer? Any kind of platform or other device?

This complete set up cost less than our wing. Diesel motor bought with 40,000 miles on it and now has 60,000 miles on it three years later. Just be patient and look around.
