I think my sensor is doing the "death bawl".:( I could be wrong....... but I believe a 85 or 86 year class will work. (my wife tells methat I am wrong all the time) If you have one with somewhat low miles and reasonable............ give me a holler. I have seen them go for an obsene amount to idiots on fleabay:X, and will go the new route before doing that. ;) (you know..... buying used electronics is a crap shoot)

Thank you for your continued support.......................

Love you long time.

My third "used" sensor just bit the dust, so, I think the "new" route is the path I will take!!:X

Yup, buy new......

I got several but wouldn't and don't resale them due to high failure rate of used ones. Not trying to tease you just agreeing with what Doug and Mike are saying, some things just need to be bought new.

Thanks for your infinite wisdom fellows. Have been mulling this issue for a little while. As of now. it is an intermitent problem and while it tests good, it seems to develope a mind of it's own occassionally. It drives me nuts because it affects my autovolume on the tune box. I am hoping that the sensor is the problem.

Just for everyones information..... I have found a site called www.carolinacycle.com that lists it for $118.00. They are priced lower than Service Honda or Western Honda.......... and the local stealer wants $169.99

have you tried opening the sensor and hitting it with a hair dryer or leaving it open in the sun for a few hours,, that has worked for me....I have found water in mine.....

Yeah..... I opened it up and inspected the circuit board and saw no burns or anything. Everything was dry and the rubber perimeter seal was intact. I cleaned the little wheel that spins in there and the face of the the other ting-a-ma-bob with lacquer thinner, cuz it looks to be like a magnetic type set-up. To no avail. It is dead in the water today........... no mph readings at all.

Anyone removing defective sensors, please send them my way will you?
I'm looking for the perfect hall effect sensor to use for them since the original sensor is no longer in production.

If I can find the right part, I will buy a stock of them and offer good repaired units for you guys at a good price.

Thanks
