needed: left rear shock for 1981 gl1100 or advice on how to rebuild it

closer and closer i get. got done cleaning 10 years of barn freshness off virtually every inch of my resurrection project. now i want to wax the frame ( any ideas on the best wax to use?). then i can start to put the pieces back together. ( it is down to the pistons) i am in need of a left rear airshock. anyone got one for sale?? can they be rebuilt?

Hi David, I followed the directions from Mr. magic fingers and just rebuilt my air shocks last weekend, they change the whole bike! Here is the link http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum1/73007.html. I also found shocks that were not air shocks at JC Whitney for under a hundred. There is also Progressive shocks in different flavours. Good luck with the resurrection.
