I have read all of the post on this subject but I,m confused with the wireing. I don,t understand how Dave0430 conected the ballest resister. Do I do anything with the two center wires that came from the six pin plug from the OE coils? Thanks

The ballast resistor goes in the power wire to the center terminal just like to the original coils. Then all that's needed is the 2 wires that come from the points to the outer terminals on the neon coil.

oh yes, that ballast resistor will get very hot.
you note that it is enclosed in a Ceramic housing?
that is because of the terrific heat....

position it in free air, don't let it touch any wiring.
