I'm going to add a badboy to the wing because the 'meep' horns are sorely inadequate. For the relay, where is a good direct 12v source near where the existing horns are? I would rather not run a line from the battery if I don't need to.

I was looking at getting a badboy the other day. I got a little confused because the packaging said it just hooks up to original horn wiring,... but then I saw a relay in the package which confused me. Why have a relay if it just hooks up to original horn wiring? So I didn't buy it.

Post when you figure it out, ok?

Also, I would really like to know just how much louder the badboy horn is.
You need to start with safe wiring an aux fuse panel to protect the bikes weak at best wiring that is not designed to add more amperage draw though.

Then wire the horn relay though the new aux fuse panel

You use the original horn wiring as the trigger for the new relay for the new horn.

The Badboy is lots louder! Look at Stebel horns too.

Ahh... Thanx... That makes a bit more sense...
yeah the original idea for these is for cages. The relay is for motorcycles that don't use a relay. On the harbor freight site for the item, you can choose to see a pdf of the instruction 'manual'. It lays out all the possibilities, pretty straight forward.
Newday: thanks for that. This will also help with future addons if I choose to do so. One of them being that I removed the driving lights as they were the equivalent of 2 more headlights and that was overloading the charging system. I switched to LEDs which are just as bright and only draw .75A vs. 8A.
