I put new front pads in my1500 last weekend. First time I did it and it went okay. Now I can hear the pads rubbing when I'm riding and the left side disc is very hot to touch (too hot too touch after a mile or so). I don't think I did anything wrong and I followed the Clymer instructions to the letter. Is it possible for the pads (EBC) to be too thick for the bike?

Ben, you may find that the pistons are not returning all the way into the calliper on the affected side. You will probably have to get the calliper stripped and cleaned of gunk and then everything should be fine.

Jason you are right! I got a mechanic to have a look and he managed to push the pads back all the way with a screwdriver (so we know the pads are ok), when he hit the brake the pads came out like they should but got stuck again. We ordered new seals for the caliper so I won't be riding the wing until the job is done.
