Hi everyone, I just joined. I am buying a 1998 GL1500 SE. I am picking it up on 3/14. The present owner lives about 250 miles from me. My wife just left on a two week business trip thus the reason for not getting itfor two weeks. My one and only other bike which I purchased new was a 1974 Yamaha RD-350, quite a bit different then a Goldwing. I am 61, retired and have plenty of time to ride.
I live in Livermore, CA which is in the San Francisco Bay Area. The "Buying a used GL1500" articleby Steve Saunders was very helpfull in my purchase. The bike is two tone silver and has only 5,500 miles on the clock. The gentleman I am buying it from is 76 years old and can't ride it anymore, and judging by the mileage, didn't ride it much when he could!
