Hello there, I bought a lemon on wheels. I plan on lots of time and money to fix this Bike back to a useable form of transportation. So far I pulled the Heads and polished the cylinders. I am replacing the timing belts,(45,523 miles on it) Rebuilt the starter,Rebuilt the Carbs and replaced the ignition switch with a new one ($20.00 with keys) All the cables are rusty and will need replaced but freed them up for now so I can attemp to get it running. Front master cylinder was full of powder/dust, So I need to find a replacement. The rear one is probly the same. Rear wheel bearings are shot(side to side movement) Front bearings seem good. Right side control kill switch is broke/wont move. Sounds like a pile of exscretment doesn't it? Well it maybe but with LOTS of tlc I can clean it up. And will enjoy the fruits of my LABORous pain steaking work. It will LIVE AGAIN. With your help and advice SHE should live to see another day. Please feel free to give usefull knowlage that will help.Plus any used parts you might have to help me to make it happen. I have the vetter IV fairing with saddle bags and trunk thats missing the back rest? And my seat has a phony rubber lining streched over it. I am missing the rear turn signals. And of course the key/mech for the flip cover on the dummy tank. Thanks so much for your HELP (much needed)
