I have a 1998 GL1500 SE that I bought new. It has 115,000 miles on it now and sometimes, usually on hot days, I can be cruising along just fine and then the bike acts like it's not getting fuel anymore. I pull off the road and let it sit 5-10 minutes and it will start and run just fine. Sometimes it will do this multiple times. Yesterday, I had it happen 3 times in about 5-6 miles. It seems like vapor lock to me, but my mechanics have assured me that Gold Wings don't get vapor lock. They also didn't have any idea what might cause it. I thinking maybe the auto fuel valve has a problem. Keep in mind that I can go months and many miles between these occurrences. This just started happening 3-4 years ago. Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?
